The relationship of Actionsportsgames (ASG) has with Austrian arms manufacturer Steyr is one of great collaboration. They currently produce 16 different airsoft weapons, such as Steyr AUG AEG, or Steyr Scout sniper rifle, but also lesser known Steyr M9 pistols.
Now, they’re updating their line-up with a L9-A2 model, which is supposed to be more ergonomic, simpler to take down, and has some cool features, such as trapezoid sights.
While the pistol comes in three variants (C9-compact, M9-medium, L9-fullsize/large), ASG is currently working on the L9 model, which is more fitting for the military/service use.
Let's take a look at what ASG themselves say about it.
We've been hard at work on one of our newest airsoft replicas, the Steyr L9-A2 and we are finally nearing completion. What better way to celebrate than to share some exclusive previews with you 😎
It boasts an underslung picatinny rail for tactical attachments, a lightweight polymer frame, a slightly bowed textured-grip and extended beaver tail for improved handling.
When it comes to performance, the L9-A2 can be powered by gas or CO2 and coupled with the adjustable hop-up, provides excellent performance while keeping the power at a comfortable 0.8 joules.
Additional features include trapezoid sights, metal slide, safety trigger, heavy textured grip with interchangeable grip panels and backstraps, GBB and 22-round magazine capacity.
As most companies producing airsoft guns, ASG doesn't share the release dates too often, but we can expect the L9-A2 to be in the 2023 line-up, but here's a bunch of photos they posted for your enjoyment.
